The sea put on a good show for us today with predictions of a 10.30am high tide equal to the 1953 disaster. Luckily it was 8" short, but it was still nerve racking watching the waves crash about 20 yards from our front door. In bright sunshine it was quite a contrast seeing an icy wind knocking spray of the top of the waves. From the photographs it looks like summer but believe me that icy wind just cuts through you. I lasted about an hour before seeking refuge. Groups of people were dotted along the coast watching the spectacle, a few with cameras, the lens having to be wiped between each shot from the spray.

Hello again to you, the only person probably reading this.
Just a short proposal, are there any artist's out there interested in showing and selling their work in idyllic surroundings next month. Yesterday I showed a couple of my pictures and some cards in the grounds of the Fusion restaurant 71 St. Dunstans St, Canterbury. Wallace (one of the co-owners) is organizing an artists day with Winston from Feathers each month in the gardens and would be interested in hearing from you if you would like to display your work. Personally I had a great day and I am sure its going to take off big time. There was some entertainment for the kids with a bouncy castle and a childrens theatre.

Just a short question "are you for film or digital".
I have recently taken some pictures along the path towards Reculver. Its getting that time of year again when the sun is low at midday and the light is soft. I love the onset of winter, all I need is a full moon and a clear sky.

Hello again, to you, the only person probably reading this.
Bit of a disaster today. We had a show in the back garden of the Fusion Restaurant under the marque. Unfortunately because of the strong wind it blew away the marque leaving us all open to the elements. I lost a little bit of stock and I know one guy lost some watercolours. In the future I think we will have to take more notice of the weather reports and not be so gun-ho.

Thanks to everyone that visited my exhibition at The Coastguards Lookout over the weekend and to everyone that bought cards and calendars which covered my costs. I tried to get the open fire going Saturday morning, unfortunately the chimney was blocked and I was smoked out of the building, only a minor catastrophe. It gave the exhibit an interesting smokey smell.
